Ok so this book and I had some major problems, it wasn’t all bad but there were just some bits that made me want to throw my kindle through the nearest wall.

Firstly our two main characters, Jess and Nick meet after a prank pulled by Jess’s friends. This prank is the most stupid prank ever pulled, ever. Jess and her friends go to a club in Atlantic City where Jess gets so drunk she is unable to walk, talk or do anything other than vomit and pass out. Her friends in all their wisdom then proceed to put her in a man whom they don’t know hotel room and then leave her there. This guy is a stranger and she is passed out drunk. I mean, really?

So that is how Jess and Nick meet. From there things are alright for a while. It was by no means perfect but I happily read it. I quite liked Nick and liked the ‘getting to know you’ section. When things get a little friendlier Jess reveals that she has some issues.

Her divorce has left her emotionally scarred and she feels like she can’t maintain a relationship any more, she feels like she even sabotages relationships, which is ok, I can see the issue and think it is understandable but then she reveals that she was seeing a guy but wanted to break up with him. instead of talking to him and telling him that it wasn’t happening for her she goes out and gets herself arrested ON PURPOSE so that he would not want to date her any more….???

It was seriously just really silly and I couldn’t take it seriously at all. All in all it is an ok romance, but it was originally written a while ago and to be honest if you are used to reading modern contemporary romance it doesn’t compare.

The publisher provided me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
