This Song Will Save Your Life - Leila Sales For this review and more visit my blog

This Song will Save your Life is a really hard book for me to review because some aspects of it were amazing but I had some serious issues with it.

I will start with the things I liked. The most stand out aspect of this book was the writing. Leila Sales writes beautifully she grabs your attention instantly with her gorgeous prose. I also really liked the plot it deals with some tough subjects and does so well.

I was not so fond of the characters. I did really feel for Elise and what she goes through but I didn’t like her at all. I got the feeling that she thought she was better than everyone else. She is also extremely judgemental which annoyed me being that she knew better than anyone how it felt to be judged. There are only two people in the school who are willing to be friendly towards her and all she does is mentally belittle then and judge them. She does the same to almost anyone who crosses her.

Char was another character I didn’t like. Sure he was charming but he was also a jerk who used women for sex and showed them little to no respect.

This Song Will Save Your Life could have been amazing and it nearly was, but I didn’t like the characters so I couldn’t really like this book.
